Holiday Time at the Amtrak Station (Nov 2025)

Florissant Hello and Merry Christmas from the APRHF!! What started out as a few folks having fun putting the Christmas decor up at the station has turned into a day full of fun and fellowship. This year we started with a wonderful meal at El Cantarito Mexican Restaurant here in La Plata. After that is was time to enjoy some wonderful weather and bring Christmas alive at the station. Overall there was 27 of us on hand to get this job done. Snacks were also on hand just in case. 🙂

Conversation and laughter filled the air as the night went on. We of course paused for when Amtrak arrived. The conductor did his best Santa as they highballed. We then went back inside for some more snacks and cleanup of the mess that was created.

Love these lights. The Santa stop here sign will be put out the day after Thanksgiving
