A New Garden for the Amtrak Station (May 2025)

where can i buy disulfiram in south africa Each year when they are available the APRHF gets a grant from the state to do some work at the Amtrak Station. These Station Improvement Funds are available to all stations in Missouri that are part of the Missouri Rail Passenger Advisory Committee (MORPAC) group. We are proud to be part of it and have been able to take care of the smaller projects that need to be done around here that may not be on Amtrak’s bigger project scope. This year was rebuild the garden that has been there since the late 90’s. It was becoming increasingly harder to maintain and it was becoming a safety hazard with the rotten ties.

We got permission to do the project and then contacted Denny Hardin to help us with the equipment work after the plants were pulled and sorted. Let’s dive into some photos of this fun mess.

Now that the hard work is over it is time to fill with topsoil and put some plants back in.

The big rock was put back in later and the puppy patch at the parking lot side was planted. This garden setup well and provided the color and scent that we expected. Our visitors and passengers really enjoyed the garden also. The taller plants are native to the area but get a little crazy. That is why they were thinned out. We did want to keep some from when this was built as a nature scape in the 90’s during the remodel that saved our station for thousands and many more thousands to enjoy. There is a book in the station that covers that remodel and the original nature scape. Pics throughout the summer are below.
